I teach Spanish at Bluffton University in rural Ohio. This blog reflects my experiences there but is not affiliated with the University. In the Spanish language, literature and culture classroom, I introduce students to areas of research interest: gender studies becomes subtle comments about marriage equality and suggestions that women are not crazy, disability studies morphs into discussions about concussions, and religious studies becomes conversations about popular religious expression. Blogging about tacos fills in the gaps.

  1. I’ve never been to Trader Joe’s. I can’t wait to go.
